LewerMark Student Medical Insurance

Highline College cares about your health. If you are an F-1 visa holder and you are on Highline’s I-20, you are required to purchase medical insurance through the college. International students pay for medical insurance with their tuition each quarter. Health insurance is managed by LewerMark Student Insurance.

The cost is currently $405.00 per quarter, effective Winter 2024. Rates are subject to change. Highline College automatically applies the fee to your school account when you register for classes (if you are an F-1 student).

Why is health insurance mandatory? The cost of healthcare in the United States is extremely expensive. You must have medical insurance to protect yourself from these high costs.

NOTE: In general, students who are studying from outside of the US are not eligible for, and therefore are not required to pay for, medical insurance coverage. Please contact ISP staff if you have questions about your specific situation.

Keep These Important Facts in Mind

    • Please note that payment does not guarantee coverage. ISP will verify medical insurance eligibility.
    • Keep your insurance card with you at all times and show it to the doctor or hospital when you seek medical treatment or call for appointments.
    • Please do not pay upfront; you only pay $20 deductible for in-network clinics and $100 for an emergency room.

Download your Medical Insurance Card

  1. Please go to this website: https://www.lewermark.com/school-detail/?SID=highline
  2. Click on Student Login for ID Card
  3. Login: Input your Student ID. For Password: Input your Date of Birth (mmddyyyy) (Example: your birthday is March 17, 1997- You type 03171997)
  4. Click continue
  5. Change your password, then retype it to confirm. Select a security question and answer it, then fill in your email address.
  6. Click “Update”
  7. Click on drop down list- Start Here!
  8. Select Online ID Card and print out
  9. After printing out your insurance ID card, please take a picture of it and save on your phone.
