Meet one of the recipients: Hang Ly
As a high school student, Hang’s interest in studying abroad sparked her desire to study Hospitality, which led her to focus on pursuing her associate’s degree at Highline College. Eventually, she aspires to create a business that creates a platform for international students to connect with global academic advisors that will share their expertise in the educational field.
New ISP Student Scholarship
This scholarship awards $500.00 US to newly admitted Highline College international students.
Eligibility
We are currently accepting applications for those starting in Winter 2025 or Spring 2025. To be eligible:
- You must be a new, first-time international student at Highline College.
- You must be an international student paying non-resident tuition (i.e. “full tuition”).
- You must be enrolled in 12 or more credits in both your first and second quarter. If you will be in the US, you must be in F-1 status and following all status rules for full-time enrollment.
How to Apply for a Scholarship
- Fill out the New ISP Student Scholarship Application.
- In your application, you will write a short essay answering the question, “Why did you choose Highline College?”
Tips for Your Application
- Make sure to enter all information accurately, especially your email address and ctclink ID number.
- When writing your essay, please use your own words! You will not be judged on grammar – we just want to know your story!
Important Information
All applicants will be notified on a weekly basis. Note that all communication regarding your scholarship application will be sent to your listed email account.
The scholarship amount will be applied to the second quarter tuition fee. The New Student Scholarship is only awarded one time per recipient.
Application Deadlines
Winter 2025 = Monday, January 13, 2025
Spring 2025 = Monday, April 7, 2025
Students who begin their program of study in Summer 2025 or later are encouraged to contact your local representative about other scholarship opportunities through Highline College.
