Insurance Waivers for Eligible Students
Medical insurance is required for all eligible F-1 status students. The insurance fee will automatically be added to your tuition and fees total at the time of enrollment.
Insurance waivers are available for students who meet certain criteria. Getting a “waiver” means that you are not required to purchase insurance through Highline College.
You may be eligible for an insurance waiver:
- if you have unlimited coverage from AIU/AIG or Tokio Marine insurance from one of our partner schools in Japan.
- if you are a government-sponsored student with insurance provided through the Saudi Arabian Cultural
Mission (SACM). - if you are studying from outside of the US.
If any of the above apply to your situation, you may request an insurance waiver by emailing INT@highline.edu. You may be asked to provide proof of your insurance coverage (in English).
Once you are approved for an insurance waiver, Highline staff will manually remove the insurance fee from your ctclink account within 2-3 business days.
Please note that waivers must be requested every quarter that you are taking classes. Waivers should be submitted as early as possible, but they are due by the first week of each quarter.
